Learning for Everyday Life
Learning That Lives in Your Day
At TSUMUGU you study wrapping, calligraphy, mizuhiki cords, furoshiki, origata, Japanese colours, patterns and the culture of the seasons.
The aim is not technique alone: you learn the background of each practice, the care for others behind it, its aesthetics and its relationship with nature.
Watching a video is only the beginning. Making, using and finally giving your work to someone forms one complete learning experience.
